    Qamal joined PropertyGuru with four years of customer service experience. “I’ve worked in three companies before, including a year in logistics,” he explains. “But the job description at PropertyGuru really caught my eye, along with the fantastic benefits and growth opportunities.”

    Mastering Customer Care in PropTech

    As a Customer Care Consultant, Qamal’s role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our advanced technology and the needs of real estate agents. “My focus is working with real estate agents,” Qamal explains. “I introduce our products to new agents, help them understand our system, and troubleshoot any issues that existing agents might face.”

    This role requires more than just technical know-how. Qamal emphasises the importance of understanding each agent’s unique needs. “It’s crucial to really understand what each agent requires,” he states. “By doing that, I can provide better, more tailored solutions. My goal is always to deliver top-notch service and make sure agents feel comfortable with our solutions. It’s not just about solving immediate problems – it’s about building relationships that lead to customer retention and renewals.”

    Qamal’s approach aligns perfectly with the PropTech sector’s needs, where end users – often real estate agents – may be less tech-savvy than typical early adopters. His ability to bridge this gap is an asset to our company.

     

    Expanding Horizons: From Customer Care to Marketing

    “What’s exciting is the opportunity I got in June,” Qamal shares enthusiastically. “My manager asked if anyone was interested in supporting the marketing team, and I volunteered. Now I hold a diverse portfolio by working with marketing three days a week while continuing my customer service role for the other two.”

    This new role has opened a whole new world for Qamal. “It’s been an amazing chance to learn new skills and see different aspects of the company,” he says. In his marketing role, Qamal is involved in campaign promotions for agents and reward programmes, as well as working closely with the sales team to track performance.
